53 Square Feet is a private balcony, located in a leased residential complex that has been redesigned to extend the living space, screen unwanted views, and provide the family with an outdoor seating area and container gardening.

Concept
The design features modular planters that are lightweight and easily transportable. An unwanted balcony view is screened using a custom trellis where vines can grow. In addition to wood tile flooring, the design features white decorative rock to add texture as well as utilize the balcony’s existing drainage system for the planters.
